mixM.01) DJ CASH MONEY & Neil Harris
(1cd only, no cassette)

All GO-GO Megamix, circa 1985. Side One is all Cash Money, under the "Dr. Funkenstein" pseudonym, from a bootplate called "Scratching to the Funk Parts 1 & 2" (Soundmakers, '85). Plus his uncredited mix from the long out-of-print "Anthology of Go-Go Volume 2" (TTED LP 3013, '85). Hardcore scratching and cuts. Breathtaking! On the smoother-blended tip is Side Two's Neil Harris-created go go mix. Either way, it's all mixed live, all go-go!

Jams include:
> Trouble Funk: Pump Me Up
> Trouble Funk: Drop the Bomb
> EU: Throwdown
> Chuck Brown: We Need Some Money
> Slim: Good to Go
> Grace Jones: Slave to the Rhythm
> Dr. Funkenstein: Scratchin' to the Funk
> Kurtis Blow: Partytime
> Slim: In the Mix
> Arkade Funk: Tilt
> plus: more drop-ins & cuts than we can list here!

mixM.02) DJ CASH MONEY (live, '86) + various at Disco Fever (live, '81!)

mixM.04) The WBCN-Boston Woofer Goofer Soul/R'n'R Show
(2cd only, no cassette)

Probably the most insane, fun oldies show we've ever heard! Filled with soul, doowop, rockabilly and rhythm 'n' blues classics, it's the fifth anniversary celebration of a show that debuted on WBCN back in March of 1968. A LEGENDARY 1973 radio show with Wolfer Goofer (a very young PETER WOLF, then an fun-lovin' unknown Boston radio personality, having barely released his first album with the J. Geils Band earlier in '72) layin' down the rock 'n' roll oldies. With the infamous R&B collector "Little Walter" on the wheels of steel! I know this is not what you'd expect in a mix tape catalog, but we're aiming for the most eclectic mixlist ever (as you'll SEE in the upcoming Room O!). This is one GREAT collection that we still play over and over. The between-song chatter is totally outrageous and funny. As they get drunker, the show goes into orbit, with one GREAT song after another. For something completely different, give this a try. A true party tape! 90 minutes and TWENTY-SIX fantastic sides, with some obscurities that i guarantee will ROCK your world! As it did MINE when i first heard this! I never cease to be amazed by this mix, even after all these years! One of THE most-crucial radio "airchecks" of all time.

Jams include:
> 1) Frank Motley: Honkin' at Midnight (Big Town 119, 4/55)
> 2) Hollywood Flames: Buzz Buzz Buzz (Ebb 119, 12/57)
> 3) Dyke & the Blazers: Shotgun Slim (Original Sound 86, 4/69)
> 4) KoKo Taylor & Muddy Waters: Wang Dang Doodle (Checker 1135, 4/66)
> 5) Marvelettes: Please Mr. Postman (Tamla 54046, 8/61)
> 6) Solomon Burke: If You Need Me (Atlantic 2185, 4/63)
> 7) Brenton Wood: Gimme Little Sign (Double Shot 116, 8/67)
> 8) James Brown: I Got the Feelin' (King 6155, 3/68)
