You've seen other lists, and we insist you'll find none better than what's offered here. These are the "best-of-the-best" from 25 years of collecting by a VERY picky mix fan (me!). For every mix approved for this catalog, we've turned down dozens that just didn't CUT IT. We go for the MIX, not the sucker "K-TEL type greatest hits with yakking over the whole thing" travesties that watered down the scene by the mid-90's. WE know you'll be thrilled with what you decide on, and we look forward to repeat business from real hiphop/dance fanatics who know that a mix is two turntables and a mixer and the magic that ensues. EVERY mix here is distinctive and beyond your wildest expectations, so take note and ORDER!

For info on prices and ordering, click on the big pink "order here" button at the top left of your screen. DON'T WORRY: it doesn't commit you to a purchase. It's simply the info you'll need TO order, k?

If for some reason you don't SEE a big pink "order here" button, you've probably cruised in to JUST this page via a search engine. Simply CLICK HERE to enter thru our front door. And all shall be revealed!

The Mix Index: contains the stellar world-class creators, movers, and prime dj's of the hip-hop and dance scene. These are the cats who pioneered this from NYC, Philly, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, England or wherever they call home. Plus our 'in house' lesser knowns whose mixing acumen resulting in a creation beautiful enough to make the "A List". As we always say, don't go the name, go for the MIX. And if it's listed HERE, it's as great as any other selection in this section. Order with confidence and try someone out who you don't know.

The Archives List: "Archives" are not mixes. These are archival histories, formatted as label or group or genre histories. Done in a scholarly manner: chronologically with very descriptive j-cards. You say you want those classic, out-of-print, rare 12" club mixes? COMPLETE, rather than only "some of it" in a mix? Jonesing for that 'DJ-only mix service' remix or megamix that you remember hearing only ONCE on the radio or at a club? Your search is over. We like to call it the Smithsonian Library of the Dance Era! ANY style: funk, disco, hiphop, house, bass, freestyle, you name it, we most likely HAVE it!

As the various rooms are being configured for this "online" presentation,
you can see what's active/open (cuz it's a blue 'working' link, natch) and the rest is what's planned/coming .
